Manager's Toolkit
The Manager’s Toolkit has been designed to provide practical guidance on enrolling and managing staff who are enrolled on the SKILL Programmes.
As a Manager there are direct benefits in encouraging your staff to take part in the programme. After participating on a SKILL programme it is expected that Support Staff and Supervisors will have:
- Improved the quality and standards of the service and care, which they provide.
- Had the opportunity to return to learning.
- Improved their knowledge and skills.
- Have greater clarity regarding their roles and functions.
- Enhanced their career opportunities.
- Been up-skilled to fulfil higher level duties where appropriate.
- Increased their morale, motivation, mobility and flexibility.
- Acquired educational accreditation for their achievements.
Managers have found that those learners who have undertaken the programme have returned with increased enthusiasm for work, and play a full role in the team.
